Gifts That Keep Giving!

This holiday season If you’re searching for a way to combine your love of travel with a gift that gives back TRAVEL THERAPY has some excellent options including a way you can Pay it Forward in the name of a friend or family member!
Here’s the deal.
Ambassadors for Children has set up a program to help support the dozens of volunteer sites it works with around the world. This is the group I volunteered with in Malawi, Africa, where we worked for several weeks at an orphanage with more than 100 children.
Besides various destinations around Africa AFC also offers volunteer vacations in countries like Vietnam, Guatemala, India, etc. So many times after you volunteer and go home you still want to help but aren’t sure how so this holiday season AFC has made it easy for everyone.
Here’s the note AFC has just sent out:
In 2009, AFC would like to support each of our destinations with a minimum of $1,000 toward each sustainable project. We need your help! What better way to honor your friends or family with a gift in their name toward making the future brighter for a child? This year you will also be able to print or email a gift certificate to let the recipient know that a contribution was made in their name. And as with all donations of $50 or more, an official tax receipt will be issued.
How great is this?
For more details just go to AFC’s website at www.ambassadorsforchildren.org
