HOW TO HELP

Published by

One of the greatest lessons I learned during my first volunteer vacation experience is that you don’t have to be rich to go on a volunteer trip and you don’t have to give a lot of money to make a difference. Sure, a big fat donation would be fabulous if you have the cash, but if your pocket book is a little empty right now that’s okay as long as your heart is full and you truly want to help.

I must have said it a hundred times when I was in Africa.

“Where there’s a will there’s a way.”

The gift of your time, energy and attention to the children is priceless on a volunteer vacation but if you’re not able to travel and still want to help there are a number of great charities where you can donate even a small amount and it will make a huge difference.

Be sure to check out the charity before you donate so you’re sure that your hard earned donation is going to the right place.

If you’d like to help the children at the Mtendere Orphanage in Malawi, Africa, you can send your donation directly to the organization that’s managing the orphanage, 100x Missions. You can also email the organization for a list of items the children currently need and the ongoing projects.

100x Missions says, “100% of your gift goes to the child or work you select. No administration, no salaries, no expenses of any sort. Every penny of your donation will be a blessing.”
